A commercial photography project for BIPÈDE – Atelier de Design and Steamforge in the heart of the De Gaspé building
As part of the development of Steamforge's new offices, located in the famous De Gaspé building, Montreal design studio Bipède orchestrated a large-scale project that combines functionality, aesthetics and innovation. To immortalize this collaboration, a commercial photography project was carried out to highlight the elegance and ingenuity of the interior design.
Bipède - Atelier de design describes this project: "The spaces all benefit from natural light, thanks to the glass partitions that pierce the walls. The kitchen is isolated from the work area thanks to a sculptural optical screen made of glass blocks with geometric reliefs. This animates our perception of light and the environment. The rooms all have 2 types of lighting: either during the day for work, and subdued lighting at night for events composed of decorative accent lamps. «
An iconic place at the service of a contemporary vision
The De Gaspé building, known for its iconic industrial architecture and its central role in the creative Mile End district, offers an ideal setting for offices that are both modern and inspiring. Bipède was able to exploit the potential of this space by combining raw materials, clean lines and a carefully chosen colour palette. The objective? To create a work environment that reflects Steamforge's identity and values while promoting collaboration and creativity.
A project that inspires
This visual reportage is not limited to documenting a space. It tells a story: that of a fruitful collaboration between designers and clients, that of a place where architecture and creativity meet. The photographs will serve not only as a showcase for Bipède's work, but also as a testimony to a successful project in a building full of symbols for Montreal's artistic community.
This project demonstrates once again that the art of interior design, when carefully captured through commercial photography, transcends mere space to become a true visual and emotional experience.
